House M.D. — This is almost like a murder detective mystery but backwards. House has to solve medical problems before they die. He has to keep them alive until him and his team can figure out what is causing the patient to die. Most of the episodes none of the patient dies but their are circumstances where they must kill off the patient. I guess you win some and loose some!! House does have flaws like the rest of us but that is why we like him because he reminds us of ourselves. My Overall SeriesRating:
Monk — This series is great Comedy and comes from USA Network and Monk has to to figure out how someone died. It actually has quite a bit of comedy and that also makes for a good series. Monk gets booted from the Police force and is forced to work on his own. He also has almost every Phobia and is extremely obsessive-compulsive, which makes for a fun and enjoyable series where you see him where he has to deal with solving a murder. This series you can laugh when he does something strange or just smile because you probably know someone just like him in one way or another. The writers knew how to make a comedy out of a detective mystery but also make it suspenseful at the same time. My Overall SeriesRating:
Psych — Two ordinary people with extraordinary observations, is the best I can describe this. Gus and Shawn is hired by the police after he cons them into thinking he has psychic powers that help solve crimes. I simply like this series because how well the writers make Gus and shaw work together they have this Yen and Yang thing going sometimes but that is what makes it so interesting to watch. They get into all sorts of trouble to help solve these cases and yet that is what makes it funny. My Overall SeriesRating:
Knight Rider — Mike has a Mission with KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) car, who is determined to help solve cases and having to deal with bad guys left and right. He used to be a Police Officer and now he has to do it with the help of his car. I actually love the action and suspense, not much comedy but when they created this series. In the time of making this series the technology did look futuristic but that has change. You can watch the newer series but it was only done for a season Knight Rider – (2008). I did start to like the newer series because of the morphing ability of KITT but they cancelled that show after the first season. Sad to know that it only lasted one season. My Overall series Rating:
The A-Team — The A-Team are prisoners of War for a crime they didn’t commit and now are on the run from the Military Police. They help the small the guys from the bad guys and have to figure out who and where these bad guys are located sometimes. This is an 80′s series but yet I love the action and adventure, and sometimes just the comedy that comes with this series. This series was good for being well rounded for all types of audiences and I for one loved to watch how they did it sometimes. They have to make use of ordinary things to use to fight the bad guys, that is also sometimes the really interesting part of the series. That was something that is remembered for all time, having an A-Team Moment!! My Overall series Rating:
These are the shows that I like to watch from time to time and I can’t wait for House M.D. to start back up this fall. If you have one that you like feel free to comment on it and tell people why. I’d love to hear which ones you like and don’t like. I hope you found some other shows you might want to watch, these are after all my favorite shows. This post was done to have fun and let people find out my interests.
This is so I can discuss and give people my input of how I am doing. To make sure people can see what I am earning. This is my attempt to discuss just what people are buying and what people are more interested in. I will discuss which Cell phones people are buying each month. I will also discuss about my other affiliates when I get a commission each month.
What Have I earned?
Now to talk about all the places I have earned money for July 2010:
In Total i made $ 228.46, In July. With the Help of Wp Robot, I have made more money than I would alone! I do know that people who are coming to this site are searching for Unlocked Cell Phones and other such products from Amazon. As you can see people are clicking my affiliate links and buying stuff from Amazon. I would like to say “Thank you for you support“. With your help I have been keeping me above the red line with my website and my Jobless situation. This will help with expenses and such and hopefully in the coming months I will get more earnings in the coming month.
There were some other orders from Amazon so that wasn’t just all of the orders but the ones that I thought people would like to know what was most popular for July 2010. I have to Admit the Unlocked LG EnV2 does look sweet for a phone, maybe later I will buy one and try it out!!
Although Most of the earnings are from Wp Robot, although I have posted some stuff that I am getting from Amazon and Cricket Wireless, I have started to earn money from my posts from Pysch, Doctor Who, and Royal Pains Shows that I would recommend to my friends and family. As you can see, I have been busy with posting what I think people would either like to read about or watch online through Amazon and Itunes. I hope you enjoyed my analysis about my earnings for July, and hope you consider leaving a comment about this analysis of my earnings and tell me what you think. You are more than welcomed to tell me you hate it, liked it, or just didn’t care for it, all comments are welcomed!!
When a woman is found dead with a bottle of pills that are lab trial samples, Lassiter and Gus, who are taking the same tap class, team up to dance their way to catching a murderer.
I enjoyed this episode immensely, I love how they introduce a new chapter in the series with Carlton Lassiter(Timothy Omundson) starts to tap dance. We get to see them mix this up a little by have the intro episode being taken a little longer than expected but thatwas good also. We also got to see them Mix up the group but later see them coming together to solve the mystery. I was laughing at the end and you will to. They do know how to make me laugh and that is good!! They are definitely going “Over the Radar” now. I better not spoil it for you but I did like this episode and you will too!!
Mythology and the modern world collide in this epic quest for justice by Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman), your basic below-average, misfit student whose family life is a mess and who’s misunderstood by everyone except his best friend, Grover (Brandon T. Jackson). A voice warns that everything is about to change as Percy enters the New Roman and Greek Art Gallery on a school field trip, and, indeed, it does. Percy’s substitute teacher morphs into a mythical beast and tries to attack him, and it’s revealed that Percy is the son of Poseidon, and a true demigod. Percy also discovers that Grover is really a satyr–half-human, half-goat–and his sworn protector, and that one of his teachers is a centaur–half-horse, half-man–who’s more committed to Percy’s education than he could ever have imagined. On top of it all, Percy is the prime suspect in the recent theft of Zeus’s lightning bolt and is being hunted by the gods. Following these shocking revelations, Percy is taken to a special training camp to learn to control and use his exceptional powers, and in the process, his mother is imprisoned by Hades. Against all advice, Percy, his protector Grover, and Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), daughter of Athena, leave camp to rescue Percy’s mother from the underworld. Their quest is extremely dangerous and puts them squarely in the path of Medusa (Uma Thurman), with her venomous hair and gaze that turns people to stone. The three also battle a five-headed, fire-breathing beast and visit a Las Vegas casino patrons never leave, and finally they find themselves deep in the underworld, at the mercy of the unpredictable Persephone, wife of Hades. Somehow, Percy must both convince the gods he did not steal Zeus’s lightning and prevent a war of the gods that could potentially destroy the entire world. Based on the books by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is an exciting action film rich with ancient mythology, yet set squarely in the 21st century. Enriched by strong special effects and some potently disturbing images, it is a powerful story about family, trust, determination, and love. (Ages 11 and older) –Tami Horiuchi
Synopsis:
Modern and mythical worlds collide in this thunderous fantasy-adventure starring Pierce Brosnan, Kevin McKidd and Uma Thurman as you’ve never seen them before! Percy Jackson is no ordinary teenager…he’s just learned he’s the son of Poseidon and is accused of stealing Zeus’ lightning bolt – the most powerful weapon ever created! With storm clouds brewing, Percy embarks on an incredible cross-country journey to prove his innocence, recover the bolt and prevent a war amongst the gods that could destroy our world!
I actually like this movie, but I must say I loved some of the ways the writers used the metonymic adages through out the move. One of my most interesting ones is the “Pen” that Percy has through out the movie. There are many aspects of the movie that is talked about from the Hydra, to even Medusa. Each one of them is part of ancient mythology and it is somewhat educational, not saying that it will teach anything but I thought it had some education points in the movie. Now this doesn’t go over well with the younger audience, my daughter would watch this but my youngest boy just wanted to play. So you should consider 9 plus of age will probably watch this more better than the younger ages. I did like the CGI that was used. I would definitely buy this movie later own this year when I get a the money. It was a pleasure to watch and I am sure you will like this movie!!!
Synopsis: Tucker’s best friend’s behavior causes Tucker to suspect the worst, but Hank realizes a medical condition is to blame. Meanwhile, Divya treats a woman who fears her job as a winemaker is on the line when her symptoms hinder her palate.
The Series for this season has been nothing but extraordinary. The Characters all have been making me want this series to continue and nothing but laughter has gotten me out of the Summer Time blues. In the Episode we find out so much about Hanks past and how Jill may be Pregnant. We will find out more in the coming episodes. I loved this episode and how Tucker Bryant(Ezra Miller) has a totally different hairstyle. I definitely laughed when I was watching this episode and was wishful when I found something out. You should watch this and get hooked on Royal Pains Like I have!! My Rating : 4.4/5

As most of you know, I have two kids and it can be quite expensive to buy the supplies and it can be a hassle to go to the store and buy them. You see you have to take the kids with you and wait in line. It isn’t worth it because of how hard it is. You also have to consider the Gas prices and using the car more. So this year I plan on getting my supplies from Amazon. That way I don’t have to worry about Kids or the Car. I also found it to be a lot simpler because I already know I will be spending more than $25 and so the Shipping will be free. Some of the things I can buy from Amazon are:
Two Pocket Folders, 11-3/4×9-1/2(List Price: $83.98, Amazon’s Price: $36.84) — I know those are a lot of folders but if you have a big family then this is a great deal. I only have two kids to worry about but I’ll buy this and put the rest up and have them ready for next year. Folders are always going to be needed for school. I don’t see it changing anytime soon!! If your Child likes Hannah Montanna then you can buy them Disney character folders- 3 pcs Hannah Montana portfolios($2.98)
School Pencils(Assortment of Penciles) — I didn’t want to pick any one kind. I thought you should do this but they have several good brands to pick and all of them are really cheap. I will be set with pencils when the time comes. I might also buy extra for when my kids break the ones they have. You can never have to many pencils when it comes kids.
Kids School Backpacks(Assortment of Backpacks) — Again, there are so many to choose from. There are Disney backpacks or just plain backpacks. So you can choice which one would be the best kind for your kids. We all know that is also an eccentrically something will be needs for school.
As you can see you can get a rebate of $20 from Amazon, if you Buy $100 of Eligible School Supplies, Get a $20 Credit on Your Next Order!. So you would only be paying 80$ instead of 100$ of school supplies. Think about all the gas you will be saving and not having to stand in lines. I say this is great deal for those parents who have several kids and don’t want to hassle with them to go pick up your school supplies. Check out the a Amazon School Supply Section and find out about other great products to save your time and your money.
See you Wednesday, Hope you had a great 4th of July Weekend!!
Lou Trek Show — More than one of them, so you will have to find the ones I am on!
I must say playing games with this head set has been a pleasure. They say that it is noise canceling but I have yet to be seen with me. it is great for voice calls using Skype, the microphone has yet to be a disappointment. I do think this is also great with Playing games, I can talk to people and still play.
Some reviews from Amazon are:
5/5 stars Gaming Addict, June 4, 2010
By Avenger Shopper (Pueblo, CO)
I am a gamer and demolish headsets at a rate or 3 or 4 per year. I wear them several hours a day almost every day, so I go through a lot of headsets and don’t want to pay too much but did want something that is of decent quality and comfortable. I am so glad I bought this product. With the many choices provided it was hard to figure out which headset would suit me the best, so I entered a price range and picked this one from the list. I’ve never owned a USB headset before and I love how easy it is to use. The sound is awesome for the price and I like that the mic boom mutes it automatically when you flip it up. I use Ventrillo and got several comments about how clear I sounded with my new headset. My head is extra small and sometimes I have trouble with over with over-the-head style headsets because they dont adjust small enough. These do, so if your head is small these will fit you. They are not ultra light, but after 6 hours of use were not bothersome and didn’t make me feel like I was wearing a bucket on my head like some headsets do. The ear cushions are comfortable and block out distracting noises very well. I would definately recommend for gamers. 5 stars – 06/2010
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have clear voice. This would be an excellent headset to use for podcasting if you are thinking about going into it. This is a cheap alternative until you can get on your feet. I would definitely recommend this because of how easy it was to start working with Windows 7 and it works really well with out installing any major software. It is a Plug and Play device so you should not need to install any software.
Hulu This week updated their TOS and Privacy Policy and also introduced the Hulu Plus. I have emailed a friend of mine that works at Hulu to see if she could get me an invite a little sooner. I would love to see if I can use my Roku box to view Hulu and if so, it might be a big step in the right direction. I have already talked about the rumors of Hulu’s Subscription plan and the Roku.
I would says you would pay $120 a year but in the long run it would definitely add up if you were buying episodes from Amazon VOD service. Let’s do a little math, if I were to buy 4 season passes for 4 different shows that would equal 30.24 a month. So in order to benefit you would only be able to watch one show a season on Amazon. So I am really happy and hoping that Hulu Plus does come to these devices so I can better watch on my Television.
If you have a Tivo or Roku and would like to show your support, please go to the Hulu Plus site and request your invitation. This would prove to them that you are interested in this and encourage them to make to it quicker available for us all. Let’s make our voices heard and let Hulu we want it on our televisions.
I don’t know if it will be international access but I do know it is in the US for right now. Checked the TOS and it clearly states “Hulu Plus is not accessible through any devices from outside the United States.“ Maybe sooner or later that will change but for right now only in the USA. Please check my post about why that is and how you can change it.
We’re sorry. The Web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site
Go to Amazon.com’s Home Page
If your affiliated with Amazon, Like I am. You would of noticed this on some of the more than 100,000 links on their site or from other sites that are linking to Amazon. It looks like Amazon has joined the ranks of the infamous “Twitter” fail whale. People are having trouble with Amazon right now. I can’t say much more than this because I don’t know what is going on but I can tell you it has been acting this way for the past hour or two and I haven’t heard a peep from Amazon as to what is the matter.
If anyone knows please leave a comment and let’s talk about this. If your mad you can make your comment also, I’d love hear how you feel about this! I know I am disappointed with this development.
Terror lurks in the cornfields of Provence, but only a sad and lonely painter can see it. Amy Pond finds herself shoulder to shoulder with Vincent Van Gogh (Tony Curran), in a battle with a deadly alien – saving the world has never been so ginger.
This was a very touching episode and I actually liked how the Doctor wanted to help out one of the Impressionistic artists get more out of his art. Although we have a dangerous Alien, we also see how Amy deals with the future. I better not give out any spoilers so I will let you watch it and enjoy as much as I did!!
It is the most important day in the history of Earth: the dawn of a new age of harmony or the start of its final war. The Doctor must face his most difficult challenge yet. It is a battle in which he cannot take sides and a day when nobody must die…
In the Previous Episode “Hungry Earth“ this is the continuation of that episode. After watching this episode, I get to find out more about the crack in the wall and just who or what happens to create that crack. we don’t know all the story but it looking like this is a great story arch and that the writers are giving use some good clues. We also see what might of happened to the dinosaurs a 1000 years ago. Could these be the ancestors of them?? Doctor Who’s Knows! Find out by watching this excellent episode!
Now these are just the latest of the problems. With Mythbusters, they had it on the desktop but I had wait a whole day to even view it on my Roku. I love these shows and want to show my support but it seems that Amazon isn’t up to snuff lately. I am not the only one with the problems, I’ve seen plenty of complaints about Amazon VOD [Unbox]. Even though this is the only one I can see it is shows there are a small percentages of customers who are having problems with VOD. I know this is a rant and you must forgive me.
I have been waiting for the latest episode of Royal Pains and yet it is available on Itunes but not Amazon just yet. You can even view it on Hulu.
What is the Point of Subscriptions??
If I was Amazon, I would be making sure each episode that is supposed to be available is available and keep the customers happy. You would think that if I have a Subscriptions (Passes) with Amazon to deliver the latest episode the next day, that I would have several people making sure and checking each episode is available on time. I would also want them to make a comment somewhere telling me why it isn’t available, so I wouldn’t have to call them and have them tell it. They should also tell me why but they won’t because they have no idea on the phone and yet. I know their has to be reason.
Is this good Customer experience??
Now I know if I didn’t make a good Customer experience with my customers they would never come back. I can see if they don’t do something soon about some of these problems with Video on Demand or people will go some place else to watch these episode. I want it to be available at all times and don’t want to be limited by Itunes but I might have to go to Itunes just to watch my favorite shows. Amazon should want customers to be happy, which in turn keeps money coming in.
I know this is rant but I want Amazon to fix this problem so I can watch my shows on time. Amazon let’s get this right and make it a good Amazon Experience.
Synopsis:
It’s 2015 and the most ambitious drilling project in history has reached deeper beneath the Earth’s crust than man has ever gone before, but now the ground itself is fighting back. In the latest episode of the time-travelling drama, the Doctor, Amy and Rory arrive in a tiny mining village and find themselves plunged into a battle against a deadly danger from a bygone age.
The next Episode “Cold Blood” Is the continuation of this episode. I must say this was an excellent episode for the action, suspense, and all around intrigue. We get to see the dinosaurs of old come back in ways we never imagines. I like this episode and will can’t wait to see the next episode to find out how the Doctor saves the Human from their predecessors.
After having her heart broken, Newberg’s stepdaughter lands in the hospital with a condition directly related to her relationship woes. Divya attempts to bring romance into her relationship with Raj. Henry Winkler guest stars.
Another great episode, we Have Henry Winkler who is destined to be more of a part of the series. He seems like a natural dad. I loved this episode because of how well written it was and how the chemistry all meshed. I see they have done a lot to make this series start to bloom and get even more people to like this series. I think it would even bring in some older people because of Henry Winkler.
Synopsis:
On this frightening episode of MythBusters, you’ll want to duck for cover as the team tests myths that will make you afraid. Very afraid… Original air date: June 9, 2010
They do some experiments where you find out how germs are spread in many ways. You also see Grant, Kari, and Tori test the myth about Tornado’s. This is a very good episode to understand about Germs and Glass. You should watch it and be Afraid, be very afraid . . .
On this explosive episode of MythBusters, the whole team gets hot under the collar of what is no doubt a pyromaniac’s dream. That’s because while Adam and Jamie literally play with fire, Kari, Grant and Tory are playing with fireworks.
This episode has some stunning results. I must say both teams were good with this episode. I saw them show how a man can be thrown into the water and how your shirt can catch on fire. If you are ever curious about what a stun gun could do, this is the episode for you.

My Thoughts:
Nim looses the one thing that means the world to her. I like how they wrote the story, the comedy in this film was also top notch. I also like the family friendly appeal of this film with the younger kids. The Adventure this young girl goes through makes my heart leap with anticipation and a was very happy with this film. I would tell people left and right to go watch this epic adventure of a small girl and her fight to save her Island!!
My Rating: 4.3/5
You could buy a Roku or a Tivo to watch streaming videos on your TV:
I have already talked about Hulu in more ways than one. So we hear about Google TV, and what that means to you.
Who will benefit from this?
I must say that any one can benefit but I will say it will most likely be used by the older generations who don’t understand the difference from watching it on their computer to those who want to watch it on their TV. Which brings me to my next question.
Will Hulu try to prevent people from watching it on their TV’s??
I don’t know but we have heard in the past where Hulu did prevent some browsers from streaming content. The one that comes to my mind is Kylo Web Browser, and I am haven’t heard much else. I am sure they have gotten through that blockade by doing something else but unsure what they have done. There are even discussions of this being part of the Hulu’s Plus services, which if they do allow Google they should also allow Roku.
Will Amazon Sell these TV’s or Set top Boxes?
From what I am reading on Amazon’s Site Google TV will be available later on when they get closer to the launch date. To bad they won’t tell me anymore than this, I am wonder some stuff about the price.
What Systems will it be in?
From my understanding the Google TV Enabled Television sets will be in Best Buy and be in Sony TV’s Set. It is however unknown as to when this will be available and when you will see it for sale. We still don’t know the price for this.
Until then I still recommend the Roku or the Tivo set top boxes. This is how you can watch shows on your TV easily and without much fuss.
Have a Great Wednesday and I will see you Friday!!
I have been doing my little research into maybe getting a Kindle. I also wanted to make sure my readers could read my blog from the Kindle. So I created a page to subscribe to my blog through Amazon Kindle. You can find the link in the sidebar or in this post. I will update the Kindle page with a snap shot of my blog later this week. Anyway I also have read reviews from Steve Gibson, Who did a thorough job in his review. Oh If your wondering, this is the Same Steve Gibson from Security Now just check out his profile. He also has a Kindle and has rated it highly when he talked about it.
What is so special about the Kindle?
I wouldn’t say it is anything to special but I do think it can be very good to use when your on a big trip or even while at work on your breaks. Catch all the latest news and technology blogs while your on your break and not need a computer to do it.
Now these are just a few that I would suggest checking out because of their tech related blogs. If you would like to find other blogs that you might want to subscribe to other Kindle blogs. They also have some good Kindle magazine section for those who might want to read a magazine while traveling and keep up to date on the magazine world. I did want to know if you plan on having a Kindle or if you already have a Kindle, so I put up another poll so I can find out from my readers. I will post the results later on next month so people who want to know more about it can! I think this is a fantastic little Device that I will look into getting soon!!
This is a 3 part episode where we see why some people don’t like Telford. I thought how they did this episode was really good episode. They did a really good job weaving how they got their. We get to see Rush become some one who is actually doing something that was unexpected. This was a very good episode and I can’t wait to see the other episodes!!
On this wet and wild episode, Adam and Jamie tackle the biggest, dirtiest, most vertigo inducing build in MythBusters history while Kari, Tory and Grant deliver the goods, to find out if taking only right turns can save you gas.
This episode talked about two different myths. One being is it more fuel efficient to make only right turns (UPS) and that can you Waterslide into a pool. I thought they did a really good job on this. This was a great episode to watch and see some really funny stuff. I won’t spoil anything for you but I did Like this episode a lot. I would recommend you watching and finding out yourself!!
Roku has added this MLB, UFC and Other Channels to their line up. They also claim people watch over 2 hours of content on the Roku. I beg to differ, because Roku is my exclusive way to watch content online. I don’t even hook up my Digital Antenna to watch stuff over the air. Anyway, this was something people should watch.
I love Netflix, Amazon, and All those other good Channels. I still think Roku will become the number one player in America at least. Keep up the good work guys at Roku!!
There’s no way back, no way up and no way out. Trapped among an army of Weeping Angels, the Doctor and his friends must try to escape through the wreckage of a crashed space liner. Meanwhile, in the forest vault, the Doctor’s companion, Amy Pond, finds herself facing an even more deadly attack.
I love how this story arc is progressing with River Song. This episode is a part 2 of The Time Of Angels. I must say this was a very interesting episode. We get to see just how much this involves Amy and Doctor and we get a glimpse of what might be in store for River and the Doctor. All in all this was a great episode and can’t wait for the next episode.
In this second Duct Tape stick-tacular, Adam and Jamie set up a challenge that will take the tape’s strength, adhesion and load-bearing capability to the absolute limit. Meanwhile Kari, Grant and Tory are all wrapped up busting duct tape automotive myths. Original air date: May 12, 2010 Runtime: 42 minutes
Synopsis:
Each episode, the MythBusters, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, two special effects experts whith over 30 years experience between them, methodically set out to bust three urban legends. And they don’t just explain if something’s true or false: through trial and error, they demonstrate it. Sometimes they crash things; sometimes they blow things up–all in the name of science. Season year: 2010 Network: Discovery Channel
My thoughts:
This was a very good episode and I enjoyed it. I must say Jamie had the hardest time with this episode but I won’t spoil it for you. You must see the episode to see what I mean. I have always like Mythbusters and can’t wait for next week episode.
Synopsis:
From Academy Award winning director James Cameron comes Avatar, the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.
Studio: 20th Century Fox DVD Release Date: April 22, 2010 Run Time: 162 minutes MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for intense epic battle sequences and warfare, sensuality, language and some smoking. Directed by: James Cameron
My Thoughts:
This movie was a great experience while viewing on my Roku box, I must say the animation and the real movement was blended superbly. I got so drawn into the movie that I enjoyed it immensely. This isn’t a movie for the young but James Cameron did a bang up job on keeping me going from the start of the movie to the end the movie. I would love to see this as a series or even Avatar II, Who knows what could happen. Would I recommend this to my friends and family. I would have to tell them go check it out and see for yourself. If your into Science Fiction, this is the show for you. You won’t get enough of watching it just once, you’ll have to watch it several times to find all the good acting and drama. I actually have been thinking of getting the HD version but I will wait due to the way 20th Centrury is only making the bare bones DVD’s right now. They do not have anything other than the movie on them from what I hear. You best advice is to buy the Video on Demand and watch it in the comfort of your home and wait till August or September to get the Ultimate Avatar DVD.
My Rating: 4.8/5

The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before.

My thoughts:
I simply love Science Fiction movies, and Star Trek. Although you can buy the Seagate Ultra Portable Hard drive and have this come with the movie on it!! I have been watching this movie every so often and I can say without a doubt, I have had a great movie experience. I would recommend this movie to anyone who grew up with Roddenberry’s dream.
My Rating: 4.5/5
Family Friendlyness: 2.5/5
My Favorite Quote: Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy: I may throw up on you. James T. Kirk: I think these things are pretty safe. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy: Don’t pander to me, kid. One tiny crack in the hull and our blood boils in thirteen seconds. Solar flare might crop up, cook us in our seats. And wait till you’re sitting pretty with a case of Andorian shingles, see if you’re so relaxed when your eyeballs are bleeding. Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence. James T. Kirk: Well, I hate to break this to you, but Starfleet operates in space. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy: Yeah. Well, I got nowhere else to go, the ex-wife took the whole damn planet in the divorce. All I got left is my bones.
Planet 51 is a galactic sized animated alien adventure comedy revolving around American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker, who lands on Planet 51 thinking he’s the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950s America, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders…like Chuck! With the help of his robot companion “Rover” and his new friend Lem, Chuck must navigate his way through the dazzling, but bewildering, landscape of Planet 51 in order to escape becoming a permanent part of the Planet 51 Alien Invaders Space Museum.
Runtime: 1 hour 31 minutes
Release year: 2009
Studio: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
MPAA Rating: Rated PG for mild sci-fi action and some suggestive humor.
My thoughts:
I simply loved this movie, it’s got comedy and it was really family friendly. Although it is rated PG, I didn’t see anything that I thought was to suggestive or even anything to gruesome when it comes to the aliens and other such. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I am quite happy I got this movie for my Kids. Thanks to my Roku, I can now let them watch it anytime they want. I especially like Justin Long, He kept the comedy real with his voice acting. I would recommend this for anyone who likes Science fiction and also Animation. I must say the animation in this was also Top notch and it is one of those that I will see again and again.
Rating: 4.8/5 Family Friendly: 4/5
You could buy a Roku or a Tivo to watch streaming videos on your TV:
Don’t blink – the Weeping Angels return! The Doctor is recruited by Father Octavian to track the last of the Angels through the terrifying Maze Of The Dead. Meanwhile, the mysterious River Song re-enters the Doctor’s life, but can he trust her?
Original air date: May 8, 2010 Runtime: 44 minutes
My thoughts:
In this episode we find that River Song comes back and we first see her on Silence in the Library (Part 1 of 2) and Forest of the Dead (Part 2 of 2) in which we find that she knows the Doctors future. Alex Kingston is a well know actor who played in the Series E.R. as Dr. Elizabeth Corday. I always love to see her on the Television she has this way about her. I suspect we will see her later in the season and also probably later next season. If we are to use what we learned in the previous two episodes she will be a companion later on. I can’t wait to see next weeks episodes, which is a part 2 of this episode.
Americans who have cancelled their cable or satellite subscriptions still represent less than three percent of the people who watch TV shows online, but the group is growing, and fast. A report (PDF) from the Convergence Consulting Group said that nearly 800,000 households in the US had ditched their TV subscriptions in favor of over-the-air and Internet options as of the end of 2009, and that number was expected to double by 2011.
With The Roku Box, I expect this to triple or quadruple in the coming year. Arstechnica also stated that some of their staff have already ditched their cable. I for one have done that and have been living happily watching my shows online through Hulu and Amazon, and Netflix. Arstechnica provides some barriers. I will talk about them also:
Sports Channels — according to Arstechnica they talk about how most people will still use Satellite TV for the Fans of Sports. I am one of those who have cut the cable bill in half by only having cable Internet. I say that you can watch some of your sports like the MLB on the Roku. Then to say you can watch the highlights of the NBA on the Roku. Although you can’t watch the NBA real time, it looks like that might be a possibility in the future. Although the Baseball season is live and on demand, so we are currently looking to expand the sports channels n the future. I can for sure see this coming but not sure when. Availability of Shows — Although if Hulu does come to the Roku, You can bet the shows that you can watch online will grow even more. Although people can still buy shows legally off of Amazon this is where you get the best possible outcome. Although Hulu hasn’t spoken to me over that question that I asked last week. I emailed them about the subscription plan and if that means they will bring it to the Roku. I suspect that if they do come to Roku. The Rumors of Hulu going to Roku is looking much more confirmed but still is a rumor nothing more and nothing less.
The last high hurdle that will need to be done to have more people watching online is to have CBS, ABC, NBC, and all those cable companies go to the Roku. I suspect that if Hulu does come to the Roku and that will change really quickly. Probably would mean the other cable companies would jump onto the Roku rather quickly. I can see big changes if only one of the content providers goes to Roku. As you can see their needs only one to have chain of events to unfold to have people flock to the Roku and other such players.
The more people who cut the cord will also make it that much harder for the content providers to ignore it!!
If Anything this could mean that something is about to happen in the coming months and probably not going to take more than a year. This is only a prediction but it is what looks to be coming. I would get ready and go buy a Roku right now, the money you could save is quite a lot compared to renting a movie.
