How to Watch Internet TV on your TV : The Cheap Way!!

By Paul | Jun 29, 2009

As many of you know, I am a great fan of Hulu.   Recently I went searching to find out how to watch Hulu without having to buy NETGEAR Digital Entertainer Live (Black) and Paying a monthly service.  So Here’s is what you need to watch it on your TV.

What you will need:

Video
S-Video Cables — If you plan to use S-video in then this is what you will need.  The good thing about this is most Laptops have S-Video Out.   Although this isn’t always the case this is how I watch Hulu on TV.

VGA to S-Video — Some laptops only have VGA you will be able to tell by the look of the connection but if you have this tool you can convert any VGA connection to S-video easily.

Philips 3-Way AV Selector For $9.88 –This is the cheap way for those who can only connect coaxial cable inputs.   This is what you will need to use on Older TV’s.

By Paul | Dec 20, 2008

Availability:

The final, never-before-aired-in-the-U.S. episodes of Naruto (Episodes 216-220) are currently available on this page as a crossover from the original Naruto series to Shippuden.

Beginning January 15, Hulu will stream direct from Japan the most recent subtitled, uncut episode of Naruto Shippuden each Thursday (starting with Episode 89).

Episodes from the first two seasons of Naruto Shippuden will also be released — 8 episodes each Friday — starting January 2.

If you’ll like me and what to find out what will happen toa Naruto Shippuden to this is something that should be talked about. If you want to see the beginning check the old Naruto episodes.  I’ve had to wait for each episode to be available at the store to watch it.  So now I don’t have to buy the episodes.   They will be starting with the latest episode and be available every Thursday.  This is so great people who are love the Japan Animation will be able to watch the most current episode from japan.

Podcasters are in up in arms over Ustream.tv

By Laforge129 | Nov 25, 2008

REVISED:

Podcasters and LifeCasters alike are not so happy with Ustream.tv right now. They have started to introduce there own ads overlay to where the lifecaster or podcast involved doesn’t get any revenue. One such Podcast right now is Mike Smith, Host of the Miketechshow Podcast, and Also Todd Cochrane, Host of Geeknewscentral.  In a Recent post from Todd, he stated he is going to leave Ustream.tv.

Mike Smith in his last Podcast talked about this subject and why he is really unhappy with Ustream.tv.  He says that the ads could possible violate his TOS with Techpodcast Network.  He also would like to share the revenue because he was one of the founding podcasters that started to use Ustream.tv.   He’s worried that there will be adult theme ads showing on his video stream and that He wants this to be family friendly.  He’s said before the show if he has to he’ll go to other networks.   Some of the networks that might help him out:

Netflix Online Video Becomes All-You-Eat Tomorrow; Can It Compete With iTunes Video Rentals?

By Paul | Jan 14, 2008

everybody%20part.jpg

We had heard that unlimited online viewing had been granted to select Netflix subscribers last month, and suspected it’d get a full rollout soon. Well, soon is tomorrow—as the AP notes, a day before MacWorld, where Apple is expected to unveil its video rental-killer rendition of iTunes.

The only people who aren’t getting cut in to the infinite viewing parade are the cheapos who only rent a pair of DVDs a month for $5. Whether or not turning the stream access into a smorgasbord is enough to fend off the looming iTunes threat is doubtful—Mac-compatibility would be a nice little shot to the balls, though—but it’s not like Netflix is totally without a battle plan for the infinite format war. Now get your Netflix accounts now. You will never be without a movie. I hope to see everyone buying a subscription to them. I thought I’d share my view on the whole matter!!

Windows only: Free internet radio application Screamer Radio is a streamlined audio ripping solution with a bonus in the form of a huge library of new stations to discover. Load up a Shoutcast, Ogg Vorbis, WMA or AAC stream, listen while Screamer sits in your taskbar and click once to record directly to MP3 or Ogg formats. Those who already have a favorite ripping solution, such as StationRipper, might still want to download Screamer just to grab a few new stations to try from its extensive preset list. Screamer Radio is a free download for Windows 98 and higher, and it looks like it can be run off a USB thumb drive as well. Thanks, Dan!

A good little program to get the audio off of a site!!
