Virus Handbook — 39.95$ Shows you the theory behind E-mail Virus.
Comments OffAmazon reviews this book and says:
E-mail Virus Protection Handbook : Protect your E-mail from Viruses, Tojan Horses, and Mobile Code Attacks (Paperback)
The authors of this volume (and there are several) begin by explaining how and why e-mail viruses work–they point the finger mainly at software that’s designed for slick presentation of mail instead of for security, as well as at uninformed end users. Then, they begin to explain what various countermeasures, including antivirus software and firewalls, can do, and offer specific configuration advice. They also explore means of configuring popular e-mail servers and clients for maximum resistance to viruses. Overall, this book is carefully researched and should provide system administrators with the information–both practical and background–that they need to protect their systems from some of the more insidious threats around. –David Wall
If your like me and your curious how these viruses work. This book is good for those who want to learn how to fight or combat viruses that usually come with E-mails. You have to know why there are viruses and why you need Anti-virus software. Although I’ve only read some of this, it makes my head spin. I’d recommend people read it at least twice. This is good for technicians who have to fight with viruses a lot, will give you so many good ideas on how to combat them.
Xbox Zune? or A Zune Phone?
Comments Off
Could Microsoft be planning to talk about the Zune. Some blogs are talking about how this will be talked about in next month at CES. According to some posts and I’ll quote:
The Tech Trader Daily column earlier this week on Barron’s reports that Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry predicts Microsoft will reveal a Zune phone next month at CES. Chowdry expects that much like Apple’s iPhone the device will combine music player capabilities with, he says, “some motion enhancement features.”

Although this is a theory, and I can see this happening due to the fact that Microsoft has always like to tie together there products. So what makes this even more tangible is the fact that Microsoft hinted about this in the past:
Dated Dec 20, 2006
Xbox European boss Chris Lewis has admitted for the first time that Microsoft is considering games content for the recently released portable multimedia player Zune.

As you can see Microsoft did hint this and probably will be fact sooner or later. Some sources are claiming they have this already in the works but it’s still a rumor. I’ll let you decide for yourself.
What’s with Google trends?
Comments OffHaving been going to the Google Trends and keeping watching. I am starting to wonder something? Take a look at this and you tell me?
Very Simple, they’d watch what is trending and post accordingly. Now you as a reader would click on the website expecting to see what you want to see but instead it would popup with advertisements and maybe malware? Check these links to better understand it:
- Skype isn’t always safe!
- Some Important programs to prevent yourself from having viruses and Malware!!
Now even though these are just a few. You can see how someone might want to abuse it and get there site up on Google trends and be able to infect several to even millions of computers before Google sees that or stops. You could in theory take over a website high in Google rankings and do exactly that.
Is Hulu the “salad course”?
Comments Off
As I’ve been watching Hulu the last few months. I’ve come to think that Hulu isn’t offering us the viewers the chance of a full course meals. They seem to like to stop after the first 2-3 seasons on most of the shows. I recently contacted Hulu about the Naruto episodes and here’s what they had to say about it:
Thanks for the email. On background, sometime in the coming weeks, Hulu
will get the remaining episodes of Naruto Season 1, and we'll also get
episodes from Season 2-3 in the future as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
Brandon Boone
So why does Hulu do this? I have a theory and this is one that most people will agree on. My theory is that the distributors are trying to entice us into buying the rest of the seasons from someplace, like Amazon or Itunes. Now I am going to have to say this is really stupid way of business and will sooner or later create even more of a demand to download these shows illegally. In the past people have always looked for the cheap way to watch there favorite shows.
Fixing the Adobe Problem!!
Comments OffIf your have been having problems with Flash Players stoping after 2 seconds of playing. I have a few ideas to try to get rid of the problem. It used to happen all the time with Vista in the early days. Here’s what I did to occasionally get the flash player to work:
-
Cleaning out the Prefetch Directory! — Having seen this from time to time. If you have programs startup that might need to be refreshed this will refresh them so that they run like new. You occasionally can get programs that will load in a odd way and this will fix that also.
-
You want to be more anonymous? — Cleaning out your cache on your browser can sometimes fix the problem. It’s like anything else it can sometimes be corrupted.
-
Some Important programs to prevent yourself from having viruses and Malware!! — Having seen this with my own two eyes, if you have a viruses or malware on your system that too can cause problems with playback of flash media. So just double check making sure you don’t have any viruses.
