The Affiliate Black Market Lessons not learned!

After a long week of deciding what should be talked about I came across some interesting websites that claim sites like Justhost, Fatcow, Ipage, and Many more. Each of these sites have been promoting their services through affiliate links and buying space on other sites to advertise for them. Let’s take a look at how much affiliates make with these links:

  • 1-3 sales = $60
  • 4-30 sales = $100
  • 31-90 sales = $125
  • 91 + sales = ??

Arvixe

  • 1-6 sales a month ~ Pay-Per-Sale $70.00 USD for each sale you deliver.
  • 7-12 sales a month ~ Pay-Per-Sale $90.00 USD for each sale you deliver.
  • 13-19 sales a month ~ Pay-Per-Sale $115.00 USD for each sale you deliver.
  • 19+ sales a month ~ Pay-Per-Sale $135.00 USD for each sale you deliver.

Ixwebhosting

  • $150 Per Affiliate Referrals a Month

Inmotionhosting.com

  • 1-2 sales Per Month = $50
  • 3 or more Per Month = $100

Fatcow

  • $100 Per Affiliate Referral

GreenGeeks

  • Refer 1 sale to GreenGeeks you earn a commission of $50.
  • Refer 2 sales and earn $60 for both sales within that calendar month.
  • Refer 3 sales and earn $70 for all 3 sales within that calendar month.
  • Refer 4 sales and earn $80 for all 4 sales within that calendar month.
  • Refer 5 sales and earn $90 for all 5 sales within that calendar month.
  • Refer 6 or more sales and earn $100 for all sales within that calendar month.

WebhostingPad

  • $75 Per affiliate Sale

As you can see there is a large incentive to get people to buy through people’s affiliate links. I’ve not seen any other affiliate that sell this high of a commission. Considering the fact that most people who buy a hosting provider stays with that provider for a long time. There are even reviews sites that get people to click the links on the page. I even looked around and most of these review sites are not even review sites, because of the fact these sites either have hidden redirect links for affiliate links or are paid to put hosting providers first on the list. If you think I am joking please see this Youtube video:

As you can see these review sites are not really unbiased and some call these review sites scams. Now why talk about this on my blog. It is simple, this makes it much harder for the people who have banners on their site to have people click their links. These sites use what I called link baiting to get you to click on their sites in Google and Other search engines. Sometimes they uses words like “suck” , “sucks”, and “sux” to get people to click their site so these sites can get you to read their review of the the hosting provider and click the sites affiliate links. Although you may not know it, these sites will often hide their affiliate links by doing a php redirect link. This is very easy to do and can be done in under 1 minute. So you may never know you have clicked an affiliate link, because once you clicked it you are directed to the home page of the hosting provider without the affiliate link showing. Although that is done by the web hosting provider they try to hide the fact that you have come to their site through an affiliate link. That seems kinda shady on their part, I don’t know if that is good or bad but I do know it makes sure people don’t know that the referrer gets a commission if they buy hosting.

These few hosting providers commissions are the main one right now but that doesn’t mean there aren’t more out there. These are the ones that can I could find the information on the commissions. So I wanted to provide some sites that might help you decide which hosting provider is best for you. Here are some sites that can help:

I hope these help you find out more about a Hosting providers and decide which one is best for you. If you have any comments or questions please come to forums and ask away.
